Down by the bay

I think I last left off with lunch in a hawker centre (basically a giant food court with cheap food) .

I saw this funny picture

From there I trained it back home for a little rest.  This was about 1 pm. I started to notice construction workers and city workers just chilling. Pretty much everyone that works outside was taking a nap around this time. Rightfully so I must add. And that is exactly what I did.

After my nap I departed for the Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands. According to google maps it was about a 30-minute trip. 15 min by train and 15 min walking. When I got to the streets, I truly struggled to find my orientation. I asked a gentleman walking by for some assistance. He was great.

Took these for you Nina.
I arrived about 15 minutes early for the fitting and they weren’t ready for me yet so I decided to walk around the mall. It is MASSIVE. Interestingly enough though I recalled a store I read about online that might have gluten free bread. Cold storage was the name. They did! I didn’t buy any though. It was almost $14 bucks a loaf. Anyway back to the fitting.
Haven't found knockoffs yet

When I got back a few models had arrived. I met a couple guys from the Philippines, a guy from Australia and 2 guys from Russia. All the female models as near I could tell were Russian as well. After an hour of test fit and taking pictures of our outfits we were sent on our way.

Naturally I was curious about the mall so I walked the entire mall back and forth on each floor.  I easily walked a km from one end to the other. There were so many different stores, designer everything there. You name the big brand designed there it was. Did you know Armani makes couches? They had an Armani Furniture store.

Their Christmas trees look pretty weak

You know me and my love for alcohol infusions. This store does this all there for you. Probably another one for you Nina.

On my way home I walked to the much closer MRT station and hopped on. Shortly after getting onto the train, I received a message on my phone. An old friend from university had decided to contact me. In her efforts to keep entertained when she couldn’t sleep (I bet it has something to do with thoughts of snow), she had read all my posts. Her message brought a smile to my face and distracted me just enough to realize I forgot to get off at my stop. Smooth eh.  Back on track I headed home.

Looking at downtown from the Marina Bay Sands
As mentioned I needed to get a workout in. So rather than wait for Michelle, I decided to explore our compound. Did I mention that? We have security and gated area that we live in. Weird, I feel incredibly safe everywhere in this city so far and there are no bums here. I found the “fitness centre”. I will snap a pic tomorrow, but you have to understand this varies from ours back home. This gym is outdoor and resembles more of a jungle gym.
