I am so very creative with the post title.
How do you top being in gold class for a spectacular movie? Simple, you sit maybe 15 rows back dead centre for a Broadway show. Zach, Broadway, Wtf? That's what I was thinking and as I am sure many of you know, theatre isn't exactly on my list as top of entertainment. And musical sits somewhere lower than documentary on cats and romantic comedy. But as I have been saying: adventure!
To be quite honest, I am glad I opened my mind and saw wicked. While I couldn't tell you any of the songs I could tell you I enjoyed the story. I picked up on the foreshadowing, and liked that I could make the connection back to the wizard of Oz. It's like the first time you watch episode 1-3 and you pick up on things in Return of the jedi. Except maybe a tenth as good. Not because the play was terrible, far from it. But because Star Wars is so damn awesome a tenth is the best one can hope to compare.
After the show Corey, Blaire and I went back and played a few games of rummy. They basically had to teach me how to play as it's been a so let long. Fun times though.
For lunch the next day I had some awesome thai food with Corey. Green curry, basil leaf beef and pineapple rice. It was all fantastic. I also decided to take part in what many singaporeans I have seen do, and drink out of a bag some iced tea.
