The first cut is the deepest

Worked hard with GSP yesterday, definetly kicked my ass more than Sean T. But in a diffierent way, I think GSP has a lot more focus on muscle development and strength, whereas Sean T (insanity) is very heavy on the cardio. We will see what that leads up to.

The plan for the evening was to meet up with Blaire at MBS then grab a drink before heading to Ikea. I met up with a crew of MBS sales staff and we headed to Cut, Wolfgang Puck’s restaurant for a drink or two.  My love for cocktail was ingnited by a few fiery drinks. Check em out:

Blaire had to go do a quick thank you speech for a group so this left Mandy and I to hold the fort down. During this time it was decided that Ikea would have to happen another day. Upon their arrival we moved into the dining to partake in some fantastic cooking. Greg one of the Chef’s came out and chatted with us, upon the request of gluten/dairy free, he recommended I dive into a steak, fine twist my rubber arm. The ladies all had lobster risotto (orzo). This was quite possibly the best steak ever to grace my lips.

Athletes work hard

I have a few other updates coming your way but just finished GSP Rushfit assessment. In my ever going ever to continue to push myself and try new things, I have decided to adapt the Rushfit training regimen. For those of you that don't know GSP. He is the second ranked pound for pound MMA fighter. A canadian to make things better. George St. Pierre is widely know for his superior ground and pound, epic take downs at will and as showcased in recent fights before his injuries awesome boxing. George has incredible versatility in hits training and is considered the most fit by some. He is my favourite fighter, a close second goes to bones jones.

Here is the video for the assessment, give it a shot yourself. You may be surprised how well/poor you may do.
GSP Rushfit Assessment

Sorry guys it won't let me embed the video. Anyway your goal is to do as many as possible air squats, pushups, sit ups and burpees.  Here are my results and those listed for GSP as well.

Exercise GSP Zach You
Air Squats 75 70 Kicked butt
Pushups 57 50 Killed it
Situps 55 58 That all you got?
Burpees 22 20 Finish Strong

I think I may have Sean T and the insanity workouts for this. Although I think you get to a point where its just not physically possible to get higher. We will see in 8 weeks once I am done. Here is a song to help pump you up:
